"To the jaded eye, all vampires seem alike, but they are wonderful in their versatility. Some come to life in moonlight, others are killed by the sun, some pierce with their eyes, others with fangs, some are reactionary, others are rebels, but all are disturbingly close to the mortals they prey on. I can think of no other monsters who are so receptive. Vampires are neither inhuman nor non-human nor all-too-human, they are simply more alive than they should be.
 

How do we seem to you? Do you find us beautiful, magical? Our white skin, our fierce eyes? "Drink" you ask me, do you have any idea of the thing you will become?

Everyone seems to have this notion that vampires live a life of luxury, being immortal and living much longer past the lives of mortals. They believe we have everything…

 

Wealth, sex, knowledge, immortality.

 

Do you know just how wrong you are? Our lives consist of hiding, searching, hunger, lies, a constant need of wishing for something better.

 

We are damned to Hades, our souls are no longer ours. What do we look forward to after this hell? To live another torment for another eternity in solitude to linger in forgetfulness before we finally fade away, the only thing we ever get to receive that is a longing tranquility, a paradise. The only peace we will ever get to experience after two eternities of loneliness.  

 

Every night, we must debate to become the monster we detest and feed from the innocent just so we may survive in this wretched world or continue to become ravenous with an undying thirst.

Royce has been a vampire now for 3000 years ever since Cain had taken the blonde for himself, Royce being the very first legitimate true vampire that must feed off blood of humans in order to survive due to the curse put upon him by an unknown force since he was created on the night of the full Blood Moon centuries ago.

 

Since Cain was the one that had technically “created” him, he forever has a ‘red thread’ connecting him to Cain, their fates and souls forever bound, even after death in Hades.

 

Despite having been around for so many years, royce has yet to ever create another ‘monster’ such as himself, having no prodigy under him wishing to end the bloodline of Ambrogio and Selene; however Cain had created two other new vampires so that he may spread the blood and to further their ‘family’. Thus, new vampires roam the Earth, and since then many different vampires have been created such as Dracula’s bloodline, the daeva, dhampirs, etc.

However, those two other vampires, Darius and Marius, also carry another burden...

Unfortunately, Royce will never be able to end the cycle of all vampires...too many bloodlines have been created, and even new bloodlines that are as old as the Ambrogio bloodline exist such as the Draconin bloodline and the Carthic bloodline.

​

In order to satiate his thirst, Royce more than often takes ‘tablets’ he simply puts in water and synthetic blood is created in mere minutes almost like 5 minute ramen for mortals; although the taste is dreadful and it bores him to death. It’s almost like humans living off of slim fast and a terrible diet for eternity if there was any comparison.

 

Despite losing most of his morality for being human, Royce still detests being the ‘monster’ he considers himself, and thus that is why he has decided to mainstream and live off this synthetic blood...to at least contain some kind of humanity that has been long gone from his existence.

Since Selene is now his mother, the moon brings Royce strength, and allows him to become more powerful on the full moon when the moon shines at it’s brightest. The very same happens on the night of the Blood Moon, except magnified 10x...however his thirst is just as amplified making Royce be consumed by an unceasing bloodlust on nights of the blood moon. Thankfully there are only a few blood moons each year.

Just as human blood is addictive to most if not all vampires, the Ambrogio bloodline’s blood is just as addictive and can be consumed as a narcotic drug, allowing the consumer to hallucinate unimaginable things. Consuming this blood may also enhance strength and sex life (for a period of time depending on how much is taken in).

 

There are side effects to consuming the Ambrogio blood; such as heightened senses, intense sexual experiences, hallucinations, radical healing, Metaphysically/Spiritual Bond with the vampire (this bond never fades), and increased libido.

 

For larger doses, one may experience exotic and vivid dreams of the vampire in various manners;whether sexual or spiritual.

Either way, the vampire's blood is a drug to others, so they usually don’t allow others to drink their blood often due to this as they believe it would be putting themselves in danger for those would kill them simply for their blood — whether to sell it or have it all to themselves.

Consuming the vampire’s blood allows a part of themselves become a part of you for a short period of time...sharing experiences for a few hours, feeling the same emotions and if taken in right, share the same physically feelings as well.

 

This can be dangerous at times, depending on the state the vampire or mortal may be in at the given time.

"Vampires are willful pleasure seekers, like mortals who use narcotics with no inclination or desire to break free of their habit. Vampires feed as much on their victims' fear as on their blood."

Of course, there is much more to Royce...but if you wish to know more, you should simply introduce yourself. Do not worry, this vampire doesn’t bite as much as he should.
