Centuries had passed since that night he had created Royce, his very first fabrication that was formed by using his very own tainted blood and the power of the Blood Moon. Though, the blood after Royce would soon become very diluted...Royce, Darius and Marius, and Cain being the four with the strongest vampiric blood that Ambrogio carried in his veins; especially since the Blood Moon would only appear on rare occasions…

 

Vampires created on the Blood Moon were typically stronger and closer to Selene than any other vampire that walked the Earth. Not many knew about this small detail.

 

It helped that only Selene’s children would be affected by the moon, unlike all the other vampires that basically used the moon to hide from the sun if they were the type that would burn in the sunlight. The moon was a haven for a lot of vampires; though only the mother of three. All other vampires would be considered ‘adoptive’, since Selene is so caring.

 

Cain had created just two other vampires other than Royce (Darius and Marius), and even Royce seemed to have kept the blood within a small family as even he didn’t create another vampire after himself. Cain, Royce and the two other vampires being the only four vampires that carry the blood of Selene and Ambrogio; all other vampires were from a different bloodline or created in some other manner.

 

Though, unlike Royce, Cain views his profound new abilities and immortal life a blessing rather than a curse, despite the many weaknesses he may now have. Who doesn’t want to be an immortal that doesn’t need to eat food? That doesn’t need sleep? That is capable of such impossible things humans would dream of doing or achieving to ever have for themselves?

 

Cain would cherish his new life, and always will. Though it would make this vampire a bit greedy, and a bit too confident in himself. Cain believes he is the strongest vampire in the world due to his pure vampiric blood; the raw life of the moon courses through his veins, even more so than Royce. The very first child Ambrogio had created. The favorite; the head of the bloodline.

 

Cain has an obsession with power, and finding new sources of power if he can find any. If he were to ever find any other creature or vampire that would eventually succeed his own power, he will eliminate them immediately.

 

Ever since Royce had left, Cain had been in search of his first creation...though rumors have it that Royce had found himself a faerie....the very creatures that had gone extinct due to their absolute sweet and addictive blood to all vampires of all sorts. Cain could only vaguely remember the drug faeries had that coursed through their veins. And his own prodigy had found one.

 

But Royce was his, and so anything that becomes Royce’s belongs to Cain…

This vampire had been in search for Royce for decades now, becoming rather bored of the world...

Cain, unlike Royce, can actually eat regular “human” food, though he’d much prefer blood enjoying the taste better, as well as the energy he gets from a blood source rather than eating food created by the Earth.

 

Though, Cain must at least drink blood (if he chose not to feed off blood for a while) at least once a month or else he’d become ill. And if it were to proceed further than a month, it would become fatal to the vampire.

 

Cain’s blood is more pure than Royce’s, having been created by Ambrogio himself, Selene being his direct mother with the moon’s raw power coursing through his veins unlike any other vampire created by this bloodline.

 

Unfortunately, that means that the curses also affect him in a more alarming manner. The sun would burn him in mere seconds, and silver affects him to the point of becoming paralyzed entirely, even a simple silver chain necklace around his neck. Holy water would burn him almost as bad as the sun, and so on.

 

Though, having the purest form of blood makes up for all of that, as Cain is the strongest, fastest, and more powerful of his bloodline. Except for Royce on the Blood Moon, only then will his prodigy actually exceed his own strength and power for one night. Cain believes he’s made the perfect weapon, the perfect child, a perfect heir if anything were to happen to him. It’s the reason he created Royce...and for the second vampire he’s created was meant to watch over and protect Royce; though said vampire’s name won’t be disclosed and will be a mystery altogether.

 

Even the side effects of his blood is more magnified than Royce’s (once again, except for on the night of the Blood Moon). If anyone were to drink Royce’s blood on the Blood Moon then they’d overdose or get an excessive amount of the drug that courses through his veins and trip on a high level and more than likely have such a high libido one wouldn’t even be able to think straight for a week, but the amount of power they’d get would be at such a high level to the point of almost reaching immortality, and there is a chance of permanent effects to keep that power for yourself.

Cain will never permit this act, and if he were to ever find out anyone has ever drank from Royce on the night of the Blood Moon, he’d eliminate such a person immediately. He will not allow anyone to become stronger than his small little family of three.
